Salford’s activity in the School of Music, Media and Performance has a distinct and separate flavour in the Manchester area with teaching and research in popular, band and jazz music and recording technology. Performance and dance are represented in this cluster by both courses and research interests. The School has extensive recording studios, dance studios and the Robert Powell Theatre.
